Research On Electric Bicycle Design Based On Green Lifestyle

Green design, which are the crux of approaching to environment protection andsustainable development, have always been one of the hot topics to design. Greentechnology, without concerning the principal factor of human beings, mainly focus onthe relationship between products and nature, nevertheless, the research on greendesign focus on the developing of green technology in domestic and international,which result in unusable or hard-used green products. Green design, as part ofindustrial design, should coordinate the relation between human, products and nature.This paper includes factor of human and green lifestyle into the product developingsystem of electric bicycle, which is one kind of green vehicles, is significant insolving the relationship problem between human, products and nature, as well asindeed save energy and solve the environment problem at the source.People tend to only focus on vehicles (the product) personality, meanwhile,ignore the external factors (human affairs) during design process. Electric bicycle,just a product on the surface, is clouded by lots of affairs actually, and green lifestyleis the complex of all the affairs. This paper reviews the correlated conception andessence, analyzes the limitations of tech-centric green design at first, and raises theharmonious development of human, products and nature oriented “green lifestyledesign”. It discusses the relationship between electric bicycles and green lifestylefrom the perspective of Science of Human Affairs, proposes the electric bicycle’sdesign method and process based on green lifestyle: spirit of “create green lifestylefor humanity” purpose, include the circumstances, objective, behavior, usage modeand consumer needs into concern, keep the electric bicycle in the system of human,products and nature, plan and design customers’ lifestyle, so that the electric bicycledesign would meet people’s needs of driving green, as well as rule and changepeople’s behavior and lifestyle, guide people to a green future!...
