The vehicle module is studied in this paper based on embedded developmentplatform. Three vehicle modules studied in this paper in vehicle managementand monitoring systems. By CAN bus control module, the main technicalparameters of vehicles can be acquired, the work information of the main part ofthe vehicle included vehicle engine, airbags, motor and other parts of the jobinformation can be collected, the statue of the vehicle is detected easily; Theglobal positioning demand is implemented by GPS module, the locationinformation of the vehicle can be achieved; By using the GPRS control module,wireless communication technology can be realized; the information of trafficcondition can be transmitted between the control center and the vehicle, and inthis way it can provide the basis for traffic management.The background and current situation of the vehicle system is firstintroduced in this paper, and then the related technology of the vehicle system isrecommended, which include embedded system technology, CAN bus technology,GPS technology, GPRS technology. The whole de sign project of the system isintroduced, including design and realization of the hardware platform, thehardware platform used is described. Next the developing software is introduced,including design of CAN bus communication protocol and driver transplantation,design of GPS positioning and GPRS communication software, finally, the testresults is analyzed.In software, the main work of this dissertation has four parts: The CANbus communication protocol is designed; The driver code is written based on thedemand data transferring, The configuration and transplantation of MCP2515’sdriver are completed, according to the agreement, the application codes arecompleted for testing; According to the NEMA protocol of GPS module,the application codes are completed for achieving location information; bylearning the AT command of GPRS operation, the corresponding applicationcodes are completed, the system can complete sending SMS.
