HIT-TENA is the system architecture of test and training, referred to AmericanTENA system, developed by Automatic Test and Control Institute of HarbinInstitute of Technology, which is used to combine range experiment with testresource. But there exists a lot of physical resources which are in heterogeneoussystems in the testing rangs by now, and the resources are unable to access to HIT-TENA directly. So the design of HIT-TENA physical resources real-time accessequipment, which joins up physical resources with the virtual experiment systemquickly, is very important to improve the real-time performance of virtualexperiment system and ensure the completion of the experiment tasks.In this paper, designing the overall scheme with the main module whichcontains communication bus interface,protocol recognition, protocol conversionand middleware function by analyzing the function requirements and performanceindicators of the realtime interface device for physical resources of HIT-TENAranges. And the hardware and the software are developed on this basis.In the design of hardware, the standard architecture of high-performanceDSP+FPGA is used as the core, designing communication bus interface likeEthernet, RS422/RS485,1553B, ARINC429,CAN and so on which’s used to matchphysical resources interface. In FPAG design, designing data resolution module andprotocol recognition module to identify protocol frame head. The data resolutionmodule implements data transformation from indefinite word length to standardeight words length, and produces enable signal used for protocol recognition. In theprotocol recognition module, consist of protocol identification unit as the core ofhardware logic circuit, implements the data and multiple protocols frame headparallel identification, get the correct protocol number.In the design of software, by means of deep analysis upon the communicationmechanism of HIT-TENA middleware, middleware and middleware servicesfunction library on the basis of DSP/BIOS is developed. Middleware modules withthe support of the libraries realize the function of middleware and complete datainteractions with the virtual test system. Then, in order to achieve thetransformation between the object model and hardware protocol, protocolconversion method based on the common protocol format is put forward by means of analyzing the method to describe the format of the protocol about virtual testsystem object model and the physical resource.Finally, testing platform is established to test the real-time interface device.The results show that the device can complete the communication with the physicalresources perfectly. And the data protocol number can be identified. Differentprotocols can transform correctly. The format and contents of message aboutmiddleware communication is correct. It is also revealed that the delay is less than1ms during the whole process of physical resource access. Conclusion can bedrawn that the results meet the requirement for real-time.
