Research On Single-phase Oscillating Permanent Magnet Linear Generator

Stirling engine is a power plant and it can convert solar energy,naturalgas,methane gas,coal gas etc into mechanical energy.Stirling engine is widely usedin aviation,spaceflight,navigation,automobile,petrochemical and other fields, it has abroad market prospect. This paper focuses on the linear machine driven by Stirlingengine used in space power.In this paper, single-phase permanent magnet linear generator oscillation isdesigned preliminary and set up the finite element model(FEM) and introduce thaanalytic calculation method for the linear motor. Then, the inductance parameters ofinfluencing factors are analyzed in the simulation.Secondly, single-phase permanent magnet linear generator oscillation isoptimized including inner diameter of the mover,thickness of permanent motor, thethickness of the mover iron core and the tooth width. Different schemes aresimulationed and calculated to find out the change rule of motor performanceparameters when the motor parts size changes, including no-load voltage,powerdensity and cogging force.Select the optimal size in the case of considering themotor index.In addition, mathematical model is established and analyses the operatingcharacteristics in detail. From the expression of motor efficiency, it is concluded thatthe motor efficiency is highest when the motor work under mechanical resonancefrequency.Finally, the thermal problem,happened in this linear machine, has beenresearched. The temperature distribution of each part is displayed by simulation. Itis concluded that the motor won’t produce high temperature under the condition ofnatural cooling and the motor can run safely.
