Rail transport plays a vital strategic role in the country’s transportation system, but for a long time, due to the objective conditions and economic interests, railway carriage overload (underload), partial load is serious happen, it is a serious threat to the safety of the rail transport. Wheel weight instrument is a measuring instruments designed to test truck overloading, partial load and unbalance loading. Due to the earlier studies mechanical wheel weight instrument for various reasons can’t meet the measurement requirements, my laboratory research group was established to develop a new portable railway intelligent vehicle wheel load instrument, it is a simple operation, high accuracy, and high level of automation to meet the measurement needs of various railway trucks.The Wheel weight instrument is combine the hypogynous machine SENSE modules with the epigynous machine MAIN module. This paper is designed to lower machine SENSE module. The epigynous machine crew to8bit PIC18F45K22SCM core, use LCD1602for display module, by controlling the motor to the wheel cylinder pressure to lift the vehicle, based on the output data of the pressure transmitter using linear interpolation method to calculate the weight of the wheels. Universal Asynchronous Receiver using serial I/O port for communication with the hypogynous machine MAIN module for storage of measurement data by the extended EEPROM, and real-time measurement data is sent to the hypogynous machine. This paper gives a round of heavy instrument system design programs and detail the key components of the system selection and rational design schematics of various parts of the system, on the basis of the completion of the PCB board layout design, software design process and control procedures for the preparation. According to several field measurements indicate that the current round of heavy instrument designed to meet the "JJF(Railway)601.10-2006railway vehicle wheel weight tester test system" indicators, set the wheels automatically lift, partial load data overload automatic calculation, data storage, data printing together, with simple and convenient operation, low cost, high accuracy, high stability.
