With the development of society and its economy, China’s energy consumptiohas been increasing rapidly, especially in construction work. In order to decreaseconstruction consumption, the state, on the one hand, actively promotes energy-savingwork in building industry; on the other hand, it advocates the use of renewableenergy and reductions in primary energy consumption. When Renewable EnergyLaw of People’s Republic of China was officially implemented on January1,2006,water source heat pump was included in renewable energy projects by the authorities. This technology is aimed at reducing building energy consumption, especiallyprimary energy consumption, and improving energy efficiency. In2010, Changshawas listed as a demonstration city for the use of renewable energy, which provides avaluable opportunity for its promotion. Changsha is abundant in streams and riverswith extremely rich water resources. Changsha is located in middle reaches of theYangtze River. It is hot in summer and cold in winter. Consequently, buildings needcooling in summer and heating in winter. Currently, there are still inefficiencies andwaste of energy in air source heat pump system. With the requirements of sustainabledevelopment and people’s awareness of environmental protection, environmentalprotection and energy saving has become the primary research question inair-conditioning. It is an urgent problem needing to be explored and solved how toapply renewable energy to cooling and heating buildings.Having participated in the edition of The Development Plan for Utilization ofWater Source Heat Pump in Changsha, the author has conducted some research on theapplications of river water source heat pump in Changsha:1.The author has surveyed the situation of river water in Changsha. Byestablishing river water temperature model, the cold and heat capacity of water hasbeen predicted. Through research the author getr the conclusion that the applicationsof river water source heat pump in Changsha is still in its infancy, thus having greatpotential for development.2.The author has performed analysis on the use requirements and pattern of riverwater source heat pump, focusing on the following two aspects: first, the bestlocation of energy stations. It has been a controversial issue whether the energystation should be located near the water source or near the buildings. Taking advantage of the model, the author makes comparsions from the three respects---economic investment from the beginning, operating costs, life cycle costs. In thisway, the author get the best location of energy station. Secon d, the use patterns ofwater pump station, a relatively new and centralized approach. The author compares itwith traditional patterns and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the twoparterns.3.The author has studied the influence the temperature of the water source heatpump has on the surrounding environment. By searching for and reading relevantmaterials, the author knows that when the river temperature in the cross section isabove1℃, it will harm fish’s passage and reproduction. With summarizing thethermal discharge temperature attenuation rule, Calculated taking different drainagetemperature, taken under different road drainage radius, drainage attenuation alongthe axis to the desired temperature and ambient temperature is less than1℃minimumdistance, verified Xiangjiang River、Liuyang River、Laodaohe river width are metminimum distance requirements. Fish shuttle will not have a significant impact accessand reproduction.
