Motorized spindle, short for motorized spindle unit, is the core component of numerical control machine tool. CNC machine tool is the crucial equipment of manufacturing industry, not to mention that high performance CNC machine tool is a strategic product for our country. Motorized spindle developed form mechanical spindle, has improved the quality and efficiency of the processing and manufacturing industry significantly. Compared to mechanical spindle, motorized spindle has the following incomparable advantages, compact structure, light weight, small vibration, low noise, small inertia, high speed and more powerful. There are many hotspot of motorized spindle research, such as supporting technology of motorized spindle, motorized spindle driving technology, measuring and controlling technology of motorized spindle and cooling technology of motorized spindle. This paper mainly focuses on the supporting technology of motorized spindle and the research objects is a small and medium size cutting motorized spindle80XD24made by someone Co.,Ltd.This project comes from the National Natural Science Fund project "The multi-body contact dynamics study of rolling bearing in mechanical system"(No.11002062) and the Talent Introduction Fund of Kunming University "flexible multi-body dynamics study of large rolling bearings"(No. KKSA20091026).Main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Multi-dynamics models of B7004Cand B7002C are created. Joints and constraints are applied on bearing’s models based on its operating mode.Simulating calculation is conducted based on the operating condition. The multi-dynamics model of bearing is verified by comparing simulation result to dynamic response experiment result of bearing.(2) One or more components are made flexible in the bearing model.The basic structure of bearing are the inner ring, outer ring, rolling elements and cage. The macroscopical deformation of cage is obvious in operating condition. Therefore, it is likely that ignoring the flexible features of cage will have a significant performance impact in the model. The bearing cage used by motorized spindle80DX24is solid, and the modal characteristic in solid cage is acquired by modal analysis.(3) The motorized spindle was simplified and made flexible.The interference fit between drive motor rotor and motorized spindle created a need to simplify the drive motor rotor before the flexibility of spindle, after that, the shaft of the simplified spindle is made flexible.(4) The entity model of bearing and spindle are assembled and the rigid multi-body dynamics model and rigid-flexible coupling multi-body dynamics model of motorized spindle will be got. Several kind of typical working conditions are simulated.After that simulation results is got and analyzed.This paper mainly studied on multi-body dynamics modeling method of angular contact ball bearing, simulation results analysis of rigid multi-body model and rigid-flexible coupling multi-body dynamics model of angular contact ball bearing, multi-body dynamics model and rigid-flexible coupling multi-body dynamics model of motorized spindle, In essence, the consciousness of correct application and maintenance of bearing has been further increased with the above studies and problem-solving process, and this paper also provide an important reference value on design and manufacturing of bearing.
