Electricity is one of the main driving force of our economic development, with the rapid development of our economy, the size of the grid is increasing, and the requirements for the safe operation of the power grid is getting higher and higher. High voltage circuit breaker is one of the important equipments in the power system, playing the dual role in the power system--control and protection, which runs directly related to the safe operation of the state of the entire power system. Research on high voltage circuit breaker state evaluation and fault diagnosis can effectively ensure the safe operation of the high voltage circuit breaker, which has very important significance to improve the safe operation reliability of power system.This paper proposed the state evaluation model and fault diagnosis model according the study of high voltage circuit breaker state evaluation and fault diagnosis, providing theoretical support for the condition-based maintenance of high voltage circuit breakers.In the high voltage circuit breaker status evaluation model, based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory, we proposed a variable weight method, which can respond flexibly to various emergencies, making the evaluation results more accurate. We designed the state evaluation system database and process according the state evaluation model.In the high voltage circuit breaker fault diagnosis model, referencing Bayesian networks, we proposed a fault diagnosis method based on the confidence degree, and the confidence degree is weaker than the Bayesian network on the condition need to meet, which makes the model more suitable for application. We designed the fault diagnosis system database and process according the fault diagnosis model.
