With the development of social economy, wind power has been widely used in the world. Simultaneously, a lot of faults occurred to wind turbines frequently because of generally working under extremely conditions. The failures can be caused by many reasons, including driven system fault, which is the most common failure. So, in order to ensure timely fault detection of driven system to reduce the losses, the research on vibration analysis and fault diagnosis of wind turbines is very meaningful. This article designs the hardware and software components of wind turbine driven system based on Lab VIEW to realize the vibration analysis and fault diagnosis of the driven system.Firstly, a brief introduction about the development of the wind turbine technology is carried out. Then, the hardware circuit of vibration analysis and fault diagnosis is designed, including the selection of sensor type, the location of vibration measuring points, and the processing of signals. The hardware system accomplishes the synchronization sampling of signals, and sends the signals to upper software system through internet.Meanwhile, the typical faults of wind turbine driven system are analysed, and a vibration analysis and fault diagnosis software system is developed with Lab VIEW. The system includes network communication module based on TCP/IP protocol, producer/consumer acquisition module, real-time condition monitoring module, and vibration analysis module, etc. The vibration analysis module also includes time domain analysis, frequency spectrum analysis, cepstrum analysis, empirical module composition, envelope analysis, and order analysis, etc.The system developed in this paper has been applied in practice, and successfully validated the reliability and effectiveness of the system...
