Pedal gear was composed of the accelerator pedal, clutch pedal andbrake pedal, the performance of the pedal gear will affect the safety andcomfort of driving directly, thus all the performance parameters of the pedalshould be tested in strict accordance with the industry standard. In thisperformance test, it need a loading force for the test system. At present, thesimulation loading force of pedal gear testing institutions mainly depend onmechanical loading, electro-hydraulic loading and pneumatic loading at homeand abroad. The pneumatic control systems play very important roles in theindustrial automation systems owing to following advantages-simple instructure, easy to keep clean to working environments, easy in power transfer,high power-to-weight ratio, low cost of the components, and so on.However pneumatic drives exhibit highly nonlinear characteristics dueto the comp-risibility of air, the nonlinearity of valves. It hindered thedevelopment of pneumatic proportional loading technology. Therefore, it isnecessary to study the pneumatic proportional loading system.According the methods of pedal performance test and the forcerequirements, this article researches on the schema design, theoretical modelanalysis, hardware design and software design, control method, experimentalresults introduced in detail. The main parts as follows:Firstly, according the force requirement of pedal test system to definethe indicators of pneumatic control loading system. Deriving themathematical equations by the Gas mass flow equation,force balanceequations and so on. The stability of designed pneumatic loading system isanalyzed by the mathematical model of the system.Secondly, build the hardware platform of Pneumatic loading system byhardware selection and mechanical design. The software programming of theload system is programmed by LabVIEW development platform. Theprogramming mainly includes the data acquisition module, man-machineinterface, data save module, control strategy module, analog output module. Thirdly, build the system control strategy. Using the method of fuzzyreasoning. By the fuzzy reasoning, the PID parameters can adjust on line andits value is changed dynamic so as to keep the optimal state at very momentin order to obtain the approving control effect.Finally, through the experiment testing, realize the real-time control ofpneumatic loading system, reach the requirement of pedals performancetesting system.
