With the rapid development of computer technology, the rapid spread of theInternet and the development of integrated circuit, the mobile device can be describedwith each passing day, such as Samsung, HTC and other mobile equipmentmanufacturers have introduced dual-core and even quad-core high-end mobile phonesand tablet PCs. As an important part of the financial equipment field, banknote sorterhas been unable to meet the demand of the market because its single functions. Thisarticle will transplant a Android operating system for banknote sorter to make it moreintelligent and modern.Android is a smart operating system based on the Linux kernel.Today, the Android operating system has developed rapidly. It continues to grow themarket shares. It becomes the top operating system after Symbian operating system.And the products of android system are expected to dominate the market of smartproducts in the next few years or even ten years.The project of this research paper is a design and implementation of the JL305sorter embedded display system. At the hardware, it uses Samsung’s s5pc110processor, in addition with the embedded display system’s peripherals it also has LCD,Ethernet port, VGA, USB and other peripherals; At the software, it uses Google’sAndroid systems.First the paper describes the project’s hardware resources. Then, it describes thecharacteristics and the framework of Android system platform. Further it analyzs andcompares the Android kernel and Linux kernel. Then it focuses on transplantation ofboot process BootLoader and Android kernel. At last, this paper analyzs and designsthe typical drivers in the Android platform, and it makes a more detailed analysis forsome representative drives, such as VGA driver and input drivers.Through the various features of the test and demonstration, all modules can beoperating normally. They achieve the expected goals, and have the excellentperformance.
