Today, the rapid development of industrial economy to promote the economic growth of the whole society, but in industrial production, there are often hidden safety problems. In the petroleum, chemical, coal and other industries, leakage of toxic fumes and Explosion caused by explosive and inflammable gases led to casualties, property damage events are not uncommon. How to avoid the safety accidents in industrial production has become an urgent problem to be solved. In this paper, an intelligent toxic gas detector is designed for real-time detection and early warning of concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide and methane gas according to actual needs.In this paper, the sensor module circuit is designed for the detection of three kinds of gas concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide and methane. To give users a good view and human-computer interaction interface, embedded systems use Android system. Relying on information collected by the gas sensor and GPS location information as an interactive source of information.This paper designs the whole framework of the gas detector based on Android system, taking Samsung Exynos 4412(ARM cortex-A9) as the core processor, connected externally to sensor module, Sound and light alarm module, WIFI module, GPS module. According to the functional requirements of the gas detector, a specific APP program is designed. In order to achieve the gas detector to collect data wireless transmission and storage, but also need to build the server. The built environment for WEB server wampserver2.5(Apache, PHP and Mysql under Windows server software), is used to establish the local server. Gas detector with the server using HTTP communication protocols, data will be collected by the gas detector uploaded to the WEB server, the gas detector can query server database information directly, server backstage dynamic data can be real-time monitoring, suitable for high-risk gas work environment, which can realize the concentration of harmful gas detection and positioning capabilities.In this paper, the research background of the subject is introduced. According to the functional requirements of the gas detector, the sensor and the embedded system are selected respectively. Then from the aspects of hardware and software to build the whole intelligent system. Finally, through the testing and debugging of the whole system, the real-time and stability of the system are verified, and the measured gas concentration data are analyzed and compared to achieve the expected results.
