With the rapid development of city, it is more and more difficult for people tofind a ecological environment for recreation, not fog shrouded, is lifted by the sand.Because of the increasingly harsh environment in the city, people want to find a pieceof fresh air, good ecological environment, which can enjoy the natural scenery.Because the rural tourism scenic spots have diversity function, it becomes thepreferred choice for people. Hainan has ecological, environmental and greenadvantages. In recent years, Either in the country or the Hainan province all levels ofgovernment, give great policy and financial support of the construction of the ruraltourism development of Hainan province, these bring opportunities and conditions forthe development of rural tourism in Hainan Province. At present, the number of ruraltourism scenic of Hainan Province is gradually increased. However, there are a lot ofproblems in the process of construction.At present, study on scenic planning of rural tourism is mainly concentrated onthe rural tourism and rural landscape planning at home and abroad, and there is fewresearch on rural tourism scenic area planning, and the study of “large area vs smalltown” is few and far. The mode is according to oneself for the construction of therural tourism of Hainan province and puts forward a new model. The mode is abreak-through, transformation and upgrading of Hainan tourism. It is different fromfarmyard, ecological tourism and sightseeing pattern.It depends on the large scenicspots and tourist area. Near scenic spots and tourist area, planning tourism village andtourism village. The mode is the interaction of the scenic spot and villages, then,formating a different kind of village tourism, is also a new mode of combining ruraltourism and other industries.This paper uses analysis methods of document, cross-disciplinary research andfield survey to studying of rural tourism planning and design. First of all, it definesthe relevant concepts, and introduces related theory. Secondly, it introduces thepresent situation of the rural tourism of Hainan province under the mode of “large area vs small town”, summarizes the existing problems and analysis the SWOT.Again, it dose a case study of DADU Villages in Wanning. The last, it puts forwardmeasures of improving the scenic planning of rural tourism of Hainan under the modeof “large area vs small town”.This paper is divided into five parts to study, altogether. The first part, is theintroduction. The second part is the basic concepts and theory analysis. The third partis the current situation of the development of rural tourism of Hainan under the modeof “large area vs small town”. The fourth part is the case study--the scenic planningof rural tourism of DADU villages in Wanning. The fifth part is the measures ofimproving the scenic planning of rural tourism of Hainan province under the modeof “large area vs small town”. Finally, conclusion and prospect.
