Planning Strategies In The Area Joining Scenic Area And The City

In recent years, along with the rapid development of China’s urbanization, the preservation of the scenic spot is gradually improving. The Area Joining Scenic Area and the City is especially important, within the first as a scenic spot of protective barriers, outward as a high quality resource of the urban construction land. Moreover, the key strategies of planning in this specific urban area are constructed on the basis of planning practice.This thesis demonstrates that The Area Joining Scenic Area and the City has unique characteristics from the point of society, economic, space, landscape and management. However, due to the tourism economic driving force, urbanization driving force, policy orientation and bias on the scenic spots, the contradictions occur between short term and long-term profit, the urban development and scenic spots development. As a typical site of urban area jointing science spots, Dongting New Town has problems of space, ecological environment, economic development, landscapes, sociality and planning management. As the view of Area Joining Scenic Area and the City in Dongting New Town, the planning strategies should put emphasis on Integrity; Flexibility; Directivity; Operability. In this case, planning strategies focus on resolving existing problems by approaching spatial development, land usage, urban catalyst, green corridor, recreation vitality strategy, distinctive features and administration method.
