Since the development policy changes, with the high-speed expansion of domestic economy, society and culture, the purchase of construction machinery products customer base continues to expand, and customer needs are becoming diversified. Many large engineering machinery manufacturing enterprises realize that the old foreign design has been difficult to meet the changing needs of the market, and gradually began to carry out innovative design on the morphology and structure of the product. The author analyzed the engineering mechanical product related design objects and their properties, namely, form and structure as well as its own characteristics, so as to establish the relevance of design theory of engineering mechanical product. Including about how the form design guide the structural design, and regulated by the morphology structure design, and analyzes the necessity of the combination of the two. According to the theory of relevance design realization method of morphology and structure, then test its utility by practice and verify. The continuation of research conclusion will forecast difficulties and obstacles in promotion process of design method of engineering mechanical products shape and structure, and propose possible approaches about how to solve these, so as to improve the design method, and make sure that it can play a better role.In conclusion, this article is based on the research of relevance of design in other disciplines, through the analysis of characteristics of mechanical product design and structure design of engineering, to provide a new method for engineering machinery product design, which can make shape and structure design more coordination.
