For a long period of time in the future, masonry structure will remain as one kind ofimportant structure in our country. Nevertheless, its Material property and masonry waydetermine its vulnerability of resisting the horizontal earthquake and lacking of ductility. Therefore, it is of great significance to research the influence factors of seismicperformance and effectively improve the ability to resist the earthquake of masonrystructure.Research shows the strong ability of the large general finite element softwareABAQUS in analyzing reinforced concrete, especially its unique Concrete DamagePlasticity Model (CDP) can better simulate the nonlinear properties of concrete material. For these reasons, ABAQUS is used in this article, and in the meantime, eighteen wallsselected are analyzed with the tools of Concrete Damaged Plasticity Model to get thecurves of stiffness degradation and load-displacement. Whereafter, construction measure, openings, mortar, compressed stress and other aspects are analyzed as the influencingfactors on brick masonry’s cracking load, ultimate load and displacement ductility. In chapter4, on the basis of the shaking table test existed, the anti-seismic prototypeis checked by ABAQUS to study its dynamic response. Test model’s cracking locationand destruction degree reflect the performance of masonry structure subjected to seismicloads, and it can be determined by the tensile damage nephogram and tensile damageparameters (DAMAGET). By comparing the time-history analysis data with the testmodel results, the author verifies the rationality of parameter settings in the finiteelement model of ABAQUS.After that, based on the simulation of test model, four finite elements areestablished to study various influence factors on seismic performance of masonrystructure. For getting the tensile damage parameter curve under different intensities ofrare earthquake, the average tensile damage parameter values and the inter-storydisplacement angle are extracted from analysis object, which is most serious tensiledamage in two pieces of wall in the finite element model. According to the comparisonbetween inter-story displacement angle and performance level, the structural damagedegree is determined and corresponding suggestions is given.
