Twelfth Five Year Plan period,China Southern Power Grid plans to constructNuozhadu hydropower station transmission to Guangdong by±800kVUHVDC project, Luoxidu power station transmission to Guangdong by doublecircuit lines on the same tower±500kV HVDC project and Jinshajiangliyuan、Ahaistation transmission to Guangxi by HVDC poject.The main grid transmission fromwest to east forms nine DC lines and eight AC lines power transmission channel in2015on the basis of five DC lines and eight AC lines The problem ofUHV structural stability is very prominent.Based on the Guangdong power grid of2015, according to the guidelinesfor the security and stability of power system,the power flow of Guangdong powergrid is calculated by BPA software.The security and stability of Guangdong powergrid is analysed and various typical fault of Guangdong power grid is simulated.The security and stability problems of the important areas are found out and thesolution measures are made out. The paper laies foundation for the safety andstability of Guangdong power grid and provides the basis for the control measures.Electrical distance is widely used as a parameter describingthe electrical coupling degree of grid nodes.In this paper, the characteristicselectrical distance (nonnegative, symmetry, additive,physical dimension, physicalmeaning) is discussed in detail.Based on the reactive power sensitivity and activepower sensitivity a network of IEEE-30nodes is partitioned to verify thefeasibility of electrical distance sensitivity method.The method that the stability analysis and control of Guangdong UHV isdetermined after the electrical distance partition is put forward.It’s necessary todetermine the load shedding location and load shedding amount.Based onthe electrical distance sensitivity and Guangdong power grid,the typical fault linesof UHV grid is analysed.The load shedding location is found out quickly and thesafety and stability control measures are determined.Finally the law of load sheddingand factors affecting cutting machine are studied.The security and stability analysis and control research of Guangdong powergrid is the central idea.The research basis and technical supportfor Guangdong power grid security and stability control measures are provided.
