The factors cover influences in different aspects such as terrian condition, climatic environment, building materials, economic pattern and social life. After close communication with the villagers and surveys conducted on their housing conditions, an analysis has been carried out on current residential conditions and main existing problems in Mengben Commune, such as excessively huge building volumes, discordance between living condition and modern life style, environmental destruction to the whole village and construction caused by solar water heaters and Water storage barrels, discordance between the traditional wooden houses with balustrades and modern life style, and the influences caused by high potential risks in the structure and the deficiencies of partial functional space on the modern life.
