For The Historical And Cultural Village Of Regional Culture And The Construction Rule Of Comparative Study

Due to rapid urbanization in modern society, rural area is gradually shrinking. Hence the preservation and development of rural area arouse more and more concerns. Following the nationwide proposal that Beautiful China Rests on Beautiful Villages, Yunnan province brings up the agenda of Beautiful Yunnan. This work depends on the Nation Science Foundation Project (No.51268019) which focuses on research and demonstration of preserving historical heritage and sustainability of indigenous culture. Based on field research of Tongle village and Ximeng village in Yunnan, this work studies the regional features of villages by analyzing relevant factors in the formation and development of villages; meanwhile, using the similarities and differences between the two villages, we continue our study from multi-dimensional perspectives including architectonics, Urban and Rural Planning, ethnosociology and culturology. Hence, this research mainly focuses on following issues:1.To summarize the cause of formation of villages from the environmental, cultural, economic and technical elements, to explore the overall space features and to summarize the expression of regional features.2.To analyzing the construction rule of villages from five perspectives including the integration of landform, the choice of materiel, the appliance of techniques, the constitution of units and the characteristic of decoration; and to interpret the construction method from individuals to groups and from home residences to public facilities.3.To conclude both tangible and intangible culture features of villages; and therefore to lay a solid foundation for preservation of historical heritage, co-existing of multiple cultures and their sustainability.The main objective of this study is to summarize culture values, construction techniques and economic values in historical villages. Therefore we could provide a glimpse of inspiration on the preservation and inheritance of regional features and development of construction rules.
