Jinan is famous for many springs, and Jinan springs are valuable natural and culturalheritage, with a prominent global value. With the accelerated development of the city,exploitation of karst groundwater in Jinan continue increasing, and lead to the decline ofgroundwater level, the stop of the springs’ spewing and a series of environmental problems.Based on the analysis of the investigation of geological and hydrogeology conditions in Jinan,this paper discusses the suitable recharge points, recharge water fields and recharge modes,establishs a numerical model of groundwater in Jinan City by GMS, designs the allocationschemes of groundwater recharge volume, and verifies the feasibility of these schemes bysimulation forecast. And evaluates the risk of joint regulation and storage from water yield,water quality and uncertainty of storage capacity three aspects. The research has importantimplications for protection of springs, rational development and utilization of groundwaterresources in Jinan. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1) Analyze and selects the suitable recharge points for regulation and storage in Jinan.According to the infiltration capacity, recharge areas are divided into natural infiltration zoneand artificial recharge zone. There are24strong seepage belts in Jinan spring area, of which14belong to natural seepage belts, and10belong to artificial recharge belts. This paper selectsupper reaches of Yufu River, Dongfeng reservoir to Gushan Town River of North Shahe,Xinglong to the Tuwu section of Xingji River, Square East Ditch, and Quanlu to Qianjiazhuangditch as preferential locations for groundwater recharge.(2) Analyze and determine water fields for joint regulation and storage of surface waterand groundwater. Determines the main water fields for joint regulation and storage in Jinan areprecipitation, the Yellow River water, the Yangtze River water and some reservoirs such asWohushan reservoir, Jinxiuchuan reservoir, and Yuqinghu reservoir.(3) Propose engineering measures for joint regulation and storage. Considering theartificial recharge conditions of groundwater, combined with the specific hydrogeologicalconditions and the actual situation of Jinan City, draws the following two arrangement principlefor joint regulation and storage: recharge groundwater by natural infiltration capacity andcombine impoundment infiltration with urban flood control. There are ground infiltration and tubewells injection two main measures for Jinan groundwater recharge. Ground infiltrationuses linear recharge, reservoir dam infiltration and infiltration pond infiltration,etc. Tubewellsinjection uses vertical drainage and sets seepage wells.(4) Set up recharge schemes by calculation and simulation of joint regulation and storage.By calculating the storage capacity of storage area, the storage capacity of annual water levelamplitude zone in spring field direct recharge area is12.90million cubic meters. This paperdesigns four recharge capacity allocation schemes, the suitable recirculation calculated bymodel simulations as follows: when see the precipitation as the average annual rainfall, thesuitable recirculation of Yufu River upper reaches, Dongfeng reservoir to Gushan Town sectionof North Shahe, Xinglong to the Tuwu section of Xingji River, Square East Ditch, and Quanluto Qianjiazhuang are167000m3/d,73000m3/d,20000m3/d,14000m3/d, and26000m3/dseparately, when the rainfall insurance rate is75%, the suitable recirculation are175000m3/d,80000m3/d,26000m3/d,20000m3/d, and35000m3/d separately.(5) Assess the risk of regulation and storage in three aspects, namely the water quantity ofstorage, the water quality of storage and the uncertainty of capacity. Through the analysis andevaluation, The water volume of Jinan Wohushan reservoir and many other reservoirs isabundant, and the Yellow River water and the Yangtze River water can also be used asregulated water resources, so the groundwater recharge source can be fully guaranteed.Regulated water resources accords with the standard of water quality of groundwater rechargewater source. It is necessary to control the turbidity and bacteria indicators of source water andequip with the necessary facilities for water purification and precipitation. Analysis theuncertainty of storage capacity by Monte Carlo method, and get that the mean square deviationof specific yield has a great influence on the storage capacity, and the variation of the mean haslittle effect on the mean square deviation of storage capacity.
