As multi-type leisure buildings,leisure complex is an important product of tourism,which upgrade form single sightseeing to leisure vocation.Including the type of resort hotel,hot spring health center,golf center and so on.It will be implanted with recombinant function of traditional tourism construction, then transformed into a multi feature fusion of environment system.In this complex,the importance of function is self-evident,Very often, one or a class of functional units would become the main part of the hole building complex and the rest functional units would support each other. It makes architectural concept of the building complex bright.Function and space is perfectly complement each other.The building complex leaded by tourism is composed by outer space and inner space.Its outer space is the part which between the building and the surrounding environment. It is one type of artificial environment which is orderly and included cultural spirit.Its interior space is the soul of the building complex. With the relationship’s promotion between city and building, the interior space especially the interior public space would be the shared part of the building’s interior extends to the external interaction.On the other hand, with the change of lifestyle and psychological behavior, people’s demand of interior space is increasing. The designs of building complex will be faced with greater challenges.Currently, the domestic theoretical studies of building complex especially studies of inner and outer space are rare. So this article tries to clear the definition and connotation of building complex leaded by tourism. Then with the current social context and domestic and aboard studies, a study of inner and outer space is discussed in this article. This study may provide some reference for the designation of the same type building complex.The thesis is divided into six chapters,The first chapter is introduction. In this chapter, the background, purpose and meaning of research, the range, method and framework of study would be introduced. Also, in this chapter, the building complex is defined.The second chapter is an overview of the development of building complex leaded by tourism.The article discusses from three aspects. They are domestic and abroad development history, types of tourism and traditional architecture of tourism.In the third chapter, the factors affecting the design and construction of building complex leaded by tourism will be deeply analysis. The synergy between the dominant functions and children functions is an important part.The fourth chapter is the main part of the paper. On the basis of domestic and foreign cases of building complex, several models of outer and inner space of the building complex. Also the strategy can be discussed from a macroscopic level.In the fifth chapter, the author would combine his own projects and the research result of front chapters to get specific design strategies.The last section is summary and prospect. In this section, the generality of the research results summarized to provide some help for the future of this type of building design, and development trends in tourism as the leading building complex will be discussed.
