Because of the enormous lighting energyconsumption and the resulting environmental problems, governments are increasinglyconcerned about the semiconductor lighting, many countries have issued a plan to phase outincandescent light, which is the next generation of semiconductor lighting technologyfoundation. Thus, in the future energy-saving and environmental protection have graduallybecome the main direction of the development of the lighting system and lighting technologywhich is based on digital semiconductor also emerged. Modern lighting system is the efficientintegration of electronic technology, communication technology and digital controltechnology, which can make flexible configuration through bus network to achieve efficientmanagement and flexible control.With the continuous development of LED lighting technology, LED dimming controlchip become a hot spot to manufacturers. LED lighting applications focused on landscapelighting and indoor lighting. With the continuous development of LED technology andexpanding production scale, LED costs will gradually reduce. The proportion of LED generallighting use will increase. Therefore LED dimming control chip market is very broad.In this paper I design a chip that supports DALI, DMX and FT-LINK protocol and cangenerate four PWMs output that controls LED indoor lighting. The control chip uses digitalPWM, and the input voltage range is3.3V to5V, and can stable drive4white LED. The chipis composed of the PWM generator, DALI codec circuit, DMX codec circuit, FT-LINK codeccircuit, UART interface circuits and other components. Chip uses CSMC0.18um processstandard.Thesis is composed of the introduction, VLSI chip design and development, chip designand simulation, system simulation and test. Introduction chapter introduces the developmentstatus of the lighting industry, the advantages of semiconductor lighting technology;Lightingchip front-end design chapter designs each module of the control chip, and performsimulation and verification, to ensure correct function; The last step is simulation,synthesis,layout, and tape out. |
