Power industry is a strategic, basic, pillar industry in our national economy. In order to improve the economy and reliability of power operation, many factors associated should be taken into consideration in site selection planning and economic operation. Various power system transmission and distribution equipment condition monitoring systems are used to improve operational stability and they have accumulated a large number of historical operating states and environmental data. Making rational use of these historical data can help power system manager to make scientific decisions.as electrical facilities are located in geographic space; the data collected from these devices contain multiple geographic attributes. In order to make an effective analysis of these data, we can link these data with location by GIS and add the data to the map, and use thematic maps to display, analysis, and mining data.Currently, the line insulator flashing incidents and lightning damage have increasingly become the prominent and main reasons for power outages. Antifouling work has become an important part of the line maintenance currently. In this paper, we use area pollution thematic map as a cut point. Firstly, by classifying and quantifying the factors that can affect the power area pollution level, such as sources of pollution, site pollution degree, meteorology, atmospheric environment, operating experience, we extract a set of rules including pollution source rule base, site pollution degree rule base, meteorological rule base, atmospheric environment rule base, operation experience rule base. Secondly, we determine the various sub-rules and rule base parameters. Thirdly, we use computer languages and GIS technology to quantify and express the rules extracted above, combine them into a computer program algorithm, use the theory of interpolation and multivariate decision, constructing power area pollution level judgment rule base engine. Finally, by drawing contour, we achieve a power area pollution level thematic map and show it on the WebGIS platform.Statistics data thematic map is a typical quantitative thematic map. Firstly, this paper studies the advantages and disadvantages of each type of chart. Secondly, this paper studies statistics data classification methods. This paper studies the process of automatic generation of statistical data thematic maps. Finally, we show statistics data thematic maps on the WebGIS platform.
