With the worldwide energy-crisis increasingly serious today, coal-fired power plant is faced with enormous pressure. It makes the power plant burning un-designed coal for rising coal prices, coal quality and variety. Power plant often burns a certain scale of un-designed coals, and if burning with appropriate blended coal and proportion, it will have a beneficial effect for the power plant, improving combustion condition, reducing the amount of fly ash carbon and pollutant emissions as well as electric power generation costs, improving the economic efficiency. But it will bring a great threat to the power plant of the safety and economy, even the accident of shutdown if we lack understanding of coal blending and blend unreasonably. To improve the technology level of coal blending combustion for power plant and provide theoretical basis, it’s necessary to research the coal blending combustion so as to grasp electric power generation costs’ changes of the production process in real-time, optimize the blending and production process and improve the economic efficiency of power plant.Facing to the situation that power plant usually burns a certain scale of un-designed coal and separates largely from its designed coal, so the electric power generation costs are taken as research focus to break the traditional study on price of blended coal. Then the effects on the electric power generation costs made by coal blending combustion under different proportions are researched. Finally the calculation model of optimizing ratio is established. Taking enumeration as the optimized method, the optimal coal blending scheme conforming with boiler’s operation condition will be found in global scope. Finally a practical coal blending system has been developed using the language of C#and the development tool of Visual Studio2010. This system can reduce the electric power generation costs effectively in order to ensure economic efficiency of power plant. At last, the practicality and reliability of system are verified, and some improvements are given based on the actual application.
