Our country construction in UHV power network as the backbone of the implementation of the smart grid, intelligent construction of transmission lines is one of the important link, but the research on this field is still not get everyone’s attention. This paper explains the intelligent transmission line model, flexible, rapid response from the security, economy, energy saving and environmental protection four aspects of the key technologies of intelligent transmission line are analyzed, put forward the further assumption of future smart transmission line, provides the goals for the next step building. The transmission line is an important part of power system, substation area coverage is wider, our country is vast, transmission lines pass through mountains, basins, hills and other terrain, along the transmission line corridor, geological condition is complex, changeable climate environment, often extreme weather conditions of wind, lightning, heavy pollution, and etc.. Transmission lines are exposed to the environment, performance is directly influenced by the. Since the turn of the century, all regions in China have occurred due to transmission line fault caused by weather disasters. Transmission line faults will directly affect the safe and stable operation of the power system, the harm to national economic development and social stability, will bring great loss to national economy’s production and life. The transmission line maintenance is an effective measure to guarantee the normal operation of electric power system, through equipment maintenance, can reduce the system outage due to equipment failure, improve the transmission reliability. The planned maintenance, has been unable to meet the current electric power production, power system state maintenance also emerge as the times require. Online monitoring terminal current transmission lines of various characteristic parameters has been monitoring the condition of a line. Transmission lines are often in a more complex environment, this requires monitoring system can run status monitoring circuit, and according to the monitoring data to diagnose the fault line, to provide decision basis for the safe operation of the line. Therefore, this paper studied the transmission line theory of fuzzy evaluation depth monitoring data mining, through the analysis of data, comparison, identification, risk evaluation of equipment state of transmission line maintenance, provide decision-making basis for the operation and maintenance and management department, to take measures to eliminate potential dangers, the line. Finally from the China State Grid Corp building smart grid development strategy background and requirement, the overall design of the intelligent monitoring system of transmission line, the development of the system target, design principle, system software, hardware architecture and system functions are discussed in detail, the results is easy to popularize and apply in the practical engineering application, has the important theory significance and the practical significance.
