Based on the communication protocol for condition monitoring device on over head transmission on lines(I2 Interface), the State Grid Corporation realizes the communication between CMA (Condition Monitoring Agent) and CAG (Condition information Acquisition Gateway ), which is achieved by the standard interface protocol of Web Service and XML under the SOA( Service- oriented Architecture). The front-end subsystem of smart grid monitoring system on over head transmission on lines for Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company, realizes the condition monitoring data communication between the provincial network and the network of NARI headquarters.In this paper, the system architecture, system hierarchy and interface classification of the condition monitoring system on over head transmission on lines are described in detail. As the same time the features of the technology of SOA are enumerated. Then based on the overall framework of the transmission line monitoring system, the research about the fine-grained models of each module of the on-line monitoring I2 interface communication model is deeply made. Because of the flexibility of Web Service technology, the system building can be made by different technologies and under different environments, which provides variety of developing options. On the base of the characteristics of transmission lines and the technical level at this stage, the use of I2 interface protocol and the development of I2 interface communication are clearly defined, to improve the system development efficiency and reduce the development costs. During the test phase of the transmission line monitoring system, according to the test characteristics of SOA, a relatively complete test framework is proposed. And the uncontrollable and untracked problems are solved by the use of simulation technology under the virtual environment. And by the consensus reached through the establishment of cross-organizational test between different service providers, the service providers release the set of service test cases, in order to solve the service testability.In this paper, the transmission line condition monitoring system which is built based on the SOA-Architecture is now in use. It proves that the new designed condition monitoring system works well, and the flexibility and effectiveness of business processes are greatly improved, and the operation ability and support efforts of the telecommunications systems are significantly enhanced too.
