ABSTRACT:To realize the aim of logistic development for rail freight transportation, China Railways Corporation demands to carry out technological improvement of the infrastructure and facilities, which requires knowing the current information about the infrastructure and facilities. According to analysis the current infrastructure and facilities of rail freight yards, research on matching capability and coordination between these facilities, an configure model of loading and unloading facilities is set up, and further optimize equipment allocation realized.Based on describing the main facilities and equipment of rail freight yard, by calculating and analyzing the quantity and distribution of freight yard, storage capacity, length of loading and unloading line, mechanization of loading and unloading facilities, through transport and whole train loading and unloading according to different railways bureau and main lines, the deficiency of current freight yard infrastructure from perspective of logistic development is analyzed.This essay will focus on facilities matching, elaborate the connotation of logistic allocation of facilities in rail freight yard, analyze rail freight logistic operation process, construe coordination between technology standard, facility capacity and logistic requirement from the perspective of function and capability. Technology standard coordination includes loading and unloading facilities, warehouse, freight line, freight goods, linking line, rail and other transport modes, and a mathematic relation of rail freight yard inner capacity coordination is found. Loading and unloading function is the key link of rail logistic development. In order to research on the allocation of unloading and loading facilities of rail freight yard, the maximum of loading and unloading efficiency is taken as object function, and a loading and unloading allocation model is set up for container and long, large and heavy goods, case studies are carried out, and calculation is with help of Matlab. The essay analyzes the loading and unloading facilities, set up a facilities allocation model through queuing process, carry out case study through Matlab and basically prove the utility and practicality of the model.
