Developing electric vehicle is a big challenge for energy and environment problem, andit is an important strategy to realize the sustainable development of urban traffic.As one of thekey technologies of electric vehicle,Vehicle motor drive technology has also received wides-pread attention.Switched reluctance motor is suitable for electric vehicle drive system for itssimple structure,reliable,strong,low cost,high performance,flexible control,high efficiency andsuperior conditions applicable to an inferior characteristics.In this paper,on the basis of consulting a large number of data,first outlined the electricvehicles and the background of the switched reluctance motor,and introduced the compositonand characteristics of the switched reluctance motor control system used in electric vehicle athome and abroad. Then,switched reluctance motor is analyzed according to the basic structureand operation principle, three kinds of mathematical model was simply analyzed,and combinethe basic equations of SRM,the characteristics of several parameters of SRM was expounded,after comparative analysising the three basic control mode of SRM,the speed regulating cha-racteristics of SRM is introduced.At the same time,the CCC and APC control of SRM simul-ation model was set up,and each function module was explained,the results of simulation wasanalysised briefly,the results verify the validity of the control theory of SRM.Secondly,according to the vehicle speed regulating characteristics of SRM control sys-tem,based on a8kw three-phase12/8SRM as control object, the SRM control system usedin electric vehicle were designed based on STM32F103RBT6.System hardware design incl-udes: main circuit,drive circuit,position detection circuit,current detection and over-currentprotection circuit, CAN bus communication circuit and protection circuit design of the system.System software design includes: main function,starting subroutine,GPIO module, TIMERmodule,EXTI modules,ADC module,SRD module,PID module,Power calculation module,CAN bus module,etc. The hysteresis control, ensure the current chopping control and Angleposition control smoothly transition between the two states.Moreover, to meet the SRM controller debugging and the display demand of EV, theintelligent dashboard of EV was designed,also,the system hardware and software design wasintroduced.Through the joint debugging of system software and hardware, the experimentwaveforms and part dynamic performance test results of prototype was given. The resultsshow that the vehicle SRM control system designed in this paper meet the basic performanceindictors.It can run reliably and efficiently.The paper have certain reference value for furtherresearch and development on SRM control system of EV.Finally, summarizes the design of experimental platform for the results obtained, anlyzesthe shortcomings in the course of design and the development trends of the next step andgoals.
