The replacement method with controlled loading and blasting is widely used in large-scale port construction and reclamation projects, since it has those advantages: low human consumption, simple construction process, short duration and low investment etc. as a result, the investigation into Ground deformation and failure mechanism of the groyne built by the replacement method with controlled loading and blasting, establishing a effective method to analyse groyne stability, have significant practical value.This article follows such Technology Roadmap:accessing to relevant literature-setting up calculation model-developing analysis software-comparing the result with common method. The main job and conclusions are as follows:(1) Basing on accessing to a large number of documents, we analyzed the dam-found mechanism of the replacement method with controlled loading and blasting. The law is not to improve and enhance bearing capacity of the soft foundation made of silt but to squeeze out silt through the self-supporting effect of the rock-fill and explosion impacting effect, so as to replace the mud with rock. The rock-fill is not only the material which forms the groyne but also is the material which forms the foundation, in this way, improving the stability of the groyne.(2) Basing on the limit equilibrium theory of soil, we induced calculation formula aiming at assessing the stability of the groyne, we also put forward the method applied to finding the most dangerous sliding surface. Combining the computing method of the length of sliding surface and weight of the sliding body, we established the calculation model aiming at analyzing the stability of groyne built by the replacement method with controlled loading and blasting.(3) Teasing the logical relationship of these formulas, using computer language Microsoft Visual C#, Programming in Visual Studio development platform, combining access database, we created the stability analysis software of groyne built by the replacement method with controlled loading and blasting (Version1.0), hereafter referred to as GRMCLB-ST (Ver.1.0).(4) The safety factor concluded from the GRMCLB-ST (Ver.1.0) is closer to the virtual condition of the groyne, it has a great advantage in analyzing the stability of groyne built by the replacement method with controlled loading and blasting which cross section shape is complex and stay in the deep mud.(5) Judging from the sliding surface location obtaining from the GRMCLB-ST(Ver.1.0) and our common used limit equilibrium theory, we can see that when the groyne breaks, the terminal point of the failure plane lies at the bottom of the groyne.(6) The safety factor of considering cohesive force of silt increasing with the depth is much bigger than the value without considering it, which verified that the groyne built by the replacement method with controlled loading and blasting use the characteristics that the deep silt strength is higher.
