Electric vehicles (EVs) have received wide attention worldwide for zero pollution during using procedure, low noise and high energy efficiency. However, due to the limited battery capacity and the relatively short cruising range, the wide-spread use of EVs is still hindered. Besides EV battery technology, EV cruising range can be also increased by eco-routing and improving drivers’driving control style, which is of great significance for spreading EVs at present.In the first place, the literature review of eco-driving and vehicle consumption model is summarized to analyze the achievements and shortage of recent research.Secondly, with EV microscopic driving data, the impacts of microscopic driving parameters on EV energy consumption rate are fully analyzed, and EV microscopic consumption model is established. Then different scenarios are designed and different driving control styles and their consumptions on each scenario are compared and analyzed.Then, based on dynamic traffic information and the EV energy consumption factor model, an EV eco-route planning algorithm based on dynamic traffic information is established. On this basis, combining EV microscopic consumption model, energy-saving driving control model based on dynamic traffic information is proposed, which takes speed and acceleration as control variables. In this model, EV performance, road segments information and road network dynamic traffic information are taken into consideration. Then, the solving algorithm based on improved genetic algorithm is presented, which can be used to calculate energy-saving driving control profile.Last but not least, based on the road network of Beijing and dynamic traffic information database, using the models above, eco-routes on express way are searched and the energy-saving driving control profiles of these routes are calculated. At the same time, the energy-saving driving control schemes are analyzed. The result shows that the EV eco-routes based on dynamic traffic information and energy-saving driving control parameters proposed in this paper have a good effect on saving energy, provide guidance to drivers’energy-saving control scheme and have a good supporting effect on the use and spread of EVs.
