| With the rapid economic development,energy and environmental issues have gradually attracted people’s attention.Among those problems,the development of the automobile industry has a particularly severe impact on the environment.During the past few years,the battery electric vehicle turns out to be a new trend and direction for the development of the automobile industry.Due to the advantages of zero pollution and little noise production,battery electric vehicle appears to be a superior option while compared with the traditional fuel vehicle.In order to reduce the emission of the transportation and the consumption of the gas energy,many cities in China have taken measures to introduce electric vehicles into the city’s transportation system.Xian,as a crucial city in China,is committed to purify its transportation environment.During the recent years,electric vehicles have been introducing to the public transportation field.However,electric vehicles are on the stage of developing,there are a lot of problems to be resolved,one of the biggest disadvantage of electric vehicle is the insufficient driving range.Therefore,the operation of electric buses is studied in terms of vehicle operating characteristics and energy consumption law,aiming to find an energy-saving driving style for the electric bus drivers.This study choose BYD pure electric bus,which occupy the biggest amount among all different kinds of electric buses in Xian,as the target vehicle.,and selected 10 different electric bus routes,uses GPS speedometer pro to 5 different driver data for each electric bus route.Based on the data that has been collected,analysis was carried to study the speed,acceleration,driving performance of electric buses driving in Beilin District,Lianhu District,Xincheng District,which are the center of Xian,Yanta distric and Changan distric in the south of Xian city,Weiyang district in the north of the city,Baqiao district in the east of the city.According to these analysis,a conclusion about the driving performance and driving characteristics of electric buses while running on the respective bus routes was made.On the basis of collected electric buses’ speed data,its energy consumption calculated on Cruise,which is a vehicle simulation software.In order to keep the energy consumption data as close as to the practical situation,the target vehicle model was established before the calculation.The collected electric buses’ driving data and calculated energy consumption were combined to analyse how electric buses’ energy consumption was affected by speed,acceleration and driving performance.In this way,the energy-saving driving behavior can be concluded,such as how drivers should accelerate properly in order to reduce energy consumption,brake in the right way to collect more energy,keep speed in the proper level to minimize energy consumption.In the end,the driving behavior that caused high energy consumption was summarized,and some correcting measures were put forward to realize the energy-saving driving for electric buses in Xian city. |
