In this thesis, relying on the project of Gansu Provincial CommunicationsTechnology Project "grow key technology research Longitudinal sections of asphaltpavement," according to the main form of damage to a long steep road asphalt pavement,it analyzes the damaging effects on the long steep road from characteristics ofbituminous materials、vehicle load size、speed、slope length and other factors theoreticalanalysis. Bituminous materials, is essentially permanent deformation of asphaltpavement; ramp steeper and slope length longer, the damage to the asphalt pavementgenerated more serious. The main factor of rutting on the long steep road asphaltpavement is shear deformation, so it introduced shear test in the study to evaluate theshear behavior of SMA mixture.Aiming at the defects of the mix design, for graded asphalt mixture design andperformance out of touch with the way the issue is now exploring hybrid materialsbased on long steep section of road grading design performance, and the correspondingcontrol parameters and indicators. For a long steep road practical engineering cases,SMA mixture road performance studies, the introduction of uniaxial penetration test toevaluate the shear properties of the mixture to make up for deficiencies existingnorms.the study primaries three kinds of different thickness distribution, and uses thesame initial aggregate ratio of three graded mixtures of lignin SMA-13to rutting test, low temperature bending test, freeze-thaw splitting test and shear test. The test resultsshowed that: the more coarse gradation, the better performance of high temperature andshear, the worse performance of water stable; while grading too thick or too thin, theadverse effects on low temperature performance will be more. Determine the optimalgrading and the best asphalt content of mixture of lignin SMA by road performance. For trying to develop complex fibers to improve road performance and frugal cost,it mixes the lignin fibers with polyester fibers and mineral fibers in three differentproportions for1:1、2:1、3:1, and determines the best asphalt content of mixtures ofcomplex fiber SMA. Research experimental study of various mixtures of complex fiberSMA for heat, cold, water stability and of shear resistance, and contrast to the mixtureof lignin SMA. Analysis the road performance of mixtures of complex fiber SMA, andgets the relationship between the proportion and overall performance, combined withthe road performance based on economic costs, considering the use of performance and economy to determine the best ratio of two complex fiber: it is recommended that thebest ratio of lignin complex and basalt fiber is1:1; and it is recommended that the bestratio of lignin complex and polyester fiber is3:1.And for a long steep road actualsituation, it is recommended to use a1:1ratio of lignin complex with basalt fibers.
