With the rapid development of the transportation in our country,the phenomenon of overloading and overloading the vehicle gradually increases on the road.Because the road traffic load increases,and with the impact of extreme weather conditions,the early damage to the asphalt pavement is more serious.How to improve the pavement performance of asphalt pavement,improve the use of the situation,extend the service life and reduce the cost of construction,has become the focus of the majority of road experts.At present,using fiber stabilizer in SMA is a common way to improve the road performance.But in engineering practice,because of the special surface structure of basalt fiber,the consumption of asphalt is relatively less.The high strength characteristics of basalt fiber is difficult to play out.However,the lignin fiber has high oil absorption rate.But the reinforcement effect is not obvious,resulting in poor pavement mechanical properties.Therefore,the lignin fiber and basalt fiber composite used in SMA asphalt mixture.the pavement performance of complex fiber SMA-13 was studied.The heat resistance,pH,water absorption,oil absorption,adhesion and segregation of two kinds of fibe were investigated.By scanning electron microscopy,the mechanism of fiber has been analysed.The reasults provide a theoretical basis for the composite fiber.In order to determine the better gradation and the optimum asphalt ratio of basalt fiber SMA-13,three groups of gradation has been selected.On this basis,the lignin fiber and basalt fiber has been complexed with 1:3,1:1,3:1 ratio.And the optimum asphalt ratio of them have been determined compared with lignin fiber SMA-13.Through rutting test,low temperature bending test and split test,dynamic mechanical analysis,immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test,semi-circular bending test and four point bending fatigue test,the high temperature stability,low temperature crack resistance,water stability,anti bending tensile and fatigue resistance of three kinds of complex ratio and two kinds of single fiber SMA-13 were studied.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the test results on the performance,different application conditions of complex fibers SMA-13 has been put forward.Through economic analysis,it can be seen that the complex fiber SMA-13 has high economic benefit.The complex fiber SMA-13 has been used in the upper layer of third contract section of Xiangtan to Shaoyang Highway overhaul engineering.The key construction technologies and quality control points of complex fiber SMA-13 have been summarized,which provides that complex fiber SMA-13 has good promotion prospects.Through the research on the pavement performance of complex fiber SMA-13,it can provide reference for the promotion of the complex fiber SMA-13 in the new construction or renovation engineering of the highway...
