Evaluation Of Public Transport Development In The Main City Of Chongqing

Urban public traffic is one essential part of the infrastructure construction in theCity."Public Transport Priority" has been the mainstream and best choice forrelievingthe traffic jam in cities. Since the reform and opening-up, our social andeconomic development has made tremendous progress, urban public transport also getrapid development.Especially, the city’s public transportation has developed rapidly,after the government implement the "Public Transport Priority Development" strategyin2004.But now,the public transportation development is still lagging behind becauseof inadequate bus supply and service with less quality in the whole.The weak securityand emergency response capacity is outstanding at the same time.The urban trafficcongestion problem and inconvenient travel is increasingly serious,while thedevelopment level of urban public transport is difficult to meet the rapid developmentof urban economy and people’s improving demand.The current state ofpublictransport has a severe impact on the daily life of people and the development ofcities，so the instant evaluation and improvement is required．According to analyze the current state of development about the public transportat home and abroad,the thesis，based on the field investigation and questionnaire，holds that it is necessary to give scientific evaluation onthe index system of publictransport development if people want to have a thorough understandingabout thecurrent state of public transport．Therefore，based on the founding principles of publictransport development evaluating indexsystem，this thesis analyze the public transportsystem, the theory of comprehensive evaluation,establishing variousevaluationsystems of20indexes which includes public transport priority development,facilitiesand equipment, transport services,safety emergency,energy-saving andemission-reduction. Meanwhile， this thesis has comprehensively appliedexpertinvestigation method and entropy method to determining the index weightofevaluationsystems． To provide theoretical basis for government and thedecision-making sectionsin the enterprises of public transport,found on multilevelfuzzy comprehensive evaluation method，itcombines data envelopment analysis andanalytic hierarchy process to build model onpublic transport development evaluatingindex system and evaluate the public transportation．This thesis，which finally chooses the maincity zones of Chongqing as thesubjects of this study thattakes advantage of the evaluatingmodel to validate．...
