In the mountains of geological features is complex, with different engineering andconstruction conditions, as well as different forms of structure, forming a variety ofboundary conditions, will inevitably face a lot of high embankment, and design themost economical and reasonable retaining structures will bring many economic, socialenvironmental benefits. Application of the system of retaining structures under highfilling conditions may expand the scope of application of retaining structures,deepening the stability requirements retaining structures, and can optimize the design,improve design reliability, cost savings, compliance with retaining structures trends inthe future.According to the conditions of high embankment in mountain city, detailedanalyzed the selection principle of retaining structure, and through comparison andselection, identified several suitable form of support structure. The application in highfill under the conditions of the inverted Y type retaining structure to carry out theoptimization design analysis, key construction technology analysis and modelexperiment program analysis, provide a theoretical basis and reference for theapplication of inverted Y type retaining structure in high fill conditions of mountaincity.The main content and research results as:①First, in the mountainous city high filling conditions, this paper studies theselection of retaining structures, through the study of engineering examples and relatedliterature of the high fill retaining wall In mountain city as Chongqing and southwestarea. And from the geological conditions, structure form, filling characteristics,construction requirements, economic analysis, summarizes the selection principles andmethods. Analysis and selection of the commonly used forms of supporting structure,we can determine the suitable for high fill conditions under the mountain city ofretaining structure.②Analysis of several retaining structure determined by selection, selection ofinverted Y type retaining structure as a typical form of support structure, and then theoptimization analysis. The inverted Y type retaining structure is analyzed from thestructure, mechanism, structure characteristics, operating conditions, selected thedesign focus used in high embankment in mountain city. Using the finite element numerical analysis theory, through numerical simulation software to establish theappropriate analysis model, by using the numerical analysis method, to determine thecombination, form and law application of multiple inverted Y type retaining structurein high fill conditions of mountain city.③According to the finite element analysis results, combined with the commonfailure form of retaining structure, analysis of the key points of constructiontechnology, and to give technical guidance for the construction of correspondingpoints.④Research on the Scale experiment application of inverted Y type retainingstructure in high fill under the conditions of the (static model) scheme, to providetheoretical support and test scheme design.
