Cold patch asphalt mixture is a new pavement repairing material in recent years, under the normal temperature even low temperature or rain and snow,it is easy to use, simple and fast construction, energy saving and environmental protection, this material get the favour of pavement maintenance department. But cold patch asphalt mixture of proportioning design method and the performance evaluation, there is no standard and systematic theoretical and index at home and abroad, the quality of cold patch asphalt mixture varies. In view of the existing problems, combining the characteristics of climate in of Northeast, based on a large number of indoor experiments, the research focuses on two types of solvent-type and emulsion-type cold patch asphalt mixtures,self-develop asphalt cold patch liquid and conducts pavement performance tests, production processes and application benefit analysis.Based on the composition and structure of the cold patch asphalt mixture, this paper analyzes its strength formation mechanism and formation process, selects dense suspension structure as the structure type of the cold patch asphalt mixture. With reference to relevant research data,13 groups of AC-13 cold patch asphalt mixtures were graded;referring to Professor Lin Xiuxian of Tongji University to quickly determine the optimal oil-stone ratio, the optimal amount of asphalt corresponding to each group of gradations is obtained.According to the preparation schemes of asphalt cold patch liquid, and use a high shear homogenizer to fully shear the components of the asphalt cold patch liquid to prepare solvent-type and emulsion-type asphalt cold patch liquid.Screening for asphalt cold patch liquid based on performance, observation mixing is adopted for solvent-type asphalt cold patch liquid, three aspects of low-temperature construction and workability, mixing integrity, and dispersion viscosity were tested;emulsion-type asphalt cold patch liquid is based on the observation of mixing, the Marshall stability test of the cold patch asphalt mixture was carried out,the optimal scheme for preparing two cold patch liquid schemes were finally determined.According to the gradation design plan of the mixture, each grade of ore material is mixed with the self-developed and optimized asphalt cold patch liquid to make a cold patch asphalt mixture, and its road performance is studied through indoor tests. The rut test is used to check the high temperature stability, the low temperature trabecular bending test is used to check the low temperature stability, and the freeze-thaw split test is used to check the water stability.Technical indicators:high-temperature rutting test with a dynamic stability of greater than or equal to 3000 times/mm;low-temperature trabecular bending test with a bending failure strain(?_B)greater than or equal to 3600??;the freeze-thaw split test uses a combination of actual and the temperature conditions of the cold asphalt occurs water damage, the temperature of the water bath was corrected to 45°C from 60°C during the test, the freeze-thaw split strength ratio was not less than 80%.After a comparative analysis of the test results,it was determined the optimal grading plan for preparing solvent-based cold patch asphalt mixture and emulsion-type cold patch asphalt mixture, and analyze the difference between the two types of asphalt cold filler in road performance. On the basis of the above research, the production process of cold patch asphalt mixture, the specific process flow in packaging, storage and construction are introduced in detail, the production cost of hot mix asphalt mixture and related cold patch asphalt mixture on the market is compared, and summarizes the application benefits of cold patch asphalt mixture.
