In this article, an overview of the most commonly used frequency measurementmethod, based on the principle of parsing through several traditional methods ofmeasuring frequency and the advantages and disadvantages of different methods ofmeasuring frequency error, accuracy, and precision frequency measurement in otherbasic laws seek to improve the measurement accuracy of the method.Improve the accuracy of frequency measurement during the study proposes anew and improved method-fully synchronous frequency measurement. Not only themeasured signal synchronized with the gate signal, the clock is synchronized with thestandard, thus eliminating the error count. In this article, a detailed discussion of thefull synchronization frequency measurement works, error analysis andimplementation, and gives the schematic. The frequency design in the FPGA design toachieve.Frequency measurement principle block diagram shows the overall design, and the frequency meter core section in accordance with the realization that thefrequency measurement function is divided into a number of different modules, andgives a detailed design of each module. In the Quartus II software environment, basedon the following Verilog HDL language environment to complete the design, compile, debug, simulation and downloads.Using Verilog HDL language programming, theFPGA has important theoretical and practical value for the hardware design of thecarrier.
