The synchronous measurement of electric power system phase angle for different sites is a big puzzle in electric power system, the Wide Area Power Line Phasor Measurement Device in this article is a research hotspot to solve the puzzle. The Wide Area Power Line Phasor Measurement Device develop based on the Phasor Measurement Unit, with clock by the Global Position System (GPS) and the Digital Signal Processor (DSP), it can measure the phasor of the electric power system exactly, and send the data to the upper bed through the net.The chapter 1 introduces the base situation of the Wide Area Power Line Phasor Measurement Device and the development state. The chapter 2 introduces the Wide Area Power Line Phasor Measurement Device main circuit structure, expatiate the key circuit self adaptive uniformly-spaced A/D sampling circuit and the algorithm of the phasor measurement. The chapter 3 expatiate the EDA, the hardware description language, the programmable device and the suppliers including CPLD and FPGA. Through the DSP interface circuit and the phase lock circuit, the article expatiate all the programmable device design flow, and the article introduce some other programmable circuit. The chapter 4 discuss some question of the circuit using programmable device like digital phase locked loop and digital frequency multiplier, it can increase the way of circuit design.
