In recent years, with the rapid increase of vehicle number, the urban traffic noise pollution is more and more serious. Traffic noise has been listed as one of the city major pollutants,the other three pollutants are exhaust gas, waste water and waste residue. Traffic noise is a serious social public nuisance problem,it will do harm to human from three aspects(body, psychological and life). Therefore, the urban road traffic noise pollution prevention and control work is currently an urgent and arduous task. Both the domestic and foreign research show that there is a strong relationship between traffic noise and traffic flow factors (traffic volume, speed, vehicle type, etc.).The systematically research of relationship between them in this article will do good to urban road planning and the management of the traffic noise pollution,and it has important significance in improving the urban environment, and people’s quality of life.Firstly,this paper studied the theory of traffic noise characteristics, the traffic flow and noise situation in Harbin. Secondly, equivalent sound level model of one vehicle was set up by physical method.Based on the model, and assuming that all vehicles type and speed were the same,a equivalent sound level of ideal traffic flow model was established.Thirdly,the equivalent flow and equivalent speed were introduced to transform large and middle vehicles into small vehicles,and mixed traffic flow into ideal traffic flow.From this equivalent thought, a model of relationship between mixed traffic, flow factors and road traffic noise was established.Then, the parameters of the model were determined by regression analysis method though SPSS software; Also the model was verified by using the method of comparative analysis, result show that the model can be used to predict the road traffic noise.Finally,a road traffic noise model was established by Cadna/A software. Furthermore, the distribution of sound field was predicted,and the setting of barrier was analyzed by the method of simulation. By adjusting the model parameters, noise reduction effect of sound barriers can be displayed under different traffic flow characteristics.
