Microgrid provides an effective technical way for the large-scale application ofdistributed new energy and renewable energy. It can effectively solve the contradictionbetween the power system and the distributed generation, operating at a more safe,reliable, stable, economical, environmentally friendly state. With the development of newmicrogrid technology, many issues are to be solved, such as the connection with the maingird, optimal operation of islanding and carbonemissions trading. So this papersystematically analysis the optimal operation and carbon emissions trading of microgridin order to utilize energy efficiently.This paper detailedly describes the structure, characteristics and recent research athome and abroad of microgrid, analysis the principle and relationship of microgrid andcarbon emissions trading, thus effectively demonstrates that the implementation ofcarbon emissions in China is beneficial to improving the economy of the operation ofmicrogrid. Then two kinds of operation modes as grid connected operation mode andislanding operation mode, the mathematical model of micosourses,the effectiveness costof microgrid is introduced to systematically analysis the related problems about theoptimal operation of microgrid,which provides a theoretical basis for the constructionand scale application of microgrid. Finally, this paper studies the impact of carbonemission trading on the operation of microgrid with integration of multiple distributedgenerations, builds an optimal operation model under two modes of islanding operationmode and grid connected operation mode. This model is based on microgrid totaleconomic cost minimum as objective function, including operating cost, fuel cost,environment cost, carbon emissions trading income, depreciation cost and start stop cost,gauge and pin power purchase cost when under grid connected operation mode, and fullyconsiders the power balance constraint, the power capacity constraints, the rampconstraints as constraint conditions, grid connected operation and allowed maximuminteraction power between microgrid system and the main grid constraints when undergrid connected operation mode. Through the improvement of the the basic artificial fishswarm algorithm, the composite adaptive global artificial fish swarm algorithm is used tosolve the problem. Compared to the basic artificial fish swarm algorithm, its processingstage is easier to concentrate, and it is easier to approximate the optimal value. Thus itenhances the search speed and accuracy of the algorithm. Through the analysis of anexample, the simulation results not only verify the validity and correctness of thealgorithm, but also get the conclusion: carbon emissions trading can significantly reducesthe total economic cost of the operation of microgrid under two operation modes.Researching the impacts of carbon emissions trading on grid connected operation under three different operation strategies and obtaining the optimal scheduling scheme andeconomic analysis, the conclusion can be drew that carbon emissions trading cansignificantly improve the overall economy of microgrid under all three kinds of operationstrategies.
