Since the concept of the microgrid is put forward, with the unique advantages, microgrid absorbs the great attention from all walks of life. Microgrid consists of loads of a given area and micro power sources, such as wind power, photovoltaic power generation and so on. Gathering the complementary power advantage of economy, technology, environmental protection from various micro power source, the microgrid avoids many adverse effects caused by the grid-connected distributed generation. Microgrid can operation at the off-grid and grid-connected state, and form a power supply mode with comprehensive competitiveness, conferring main grid and the local users. And as the indispensable part of the microgrid construction, the optimal alloction became the research focus of scholars both at home and abroad. in this paper, optimal alloction of the microgrid was carried out relevant research and exploration.First of all, the current world research status and development trend of microgrid and its optimal alloction were introduced in detail. Then, the description of microgrid structure and the mathematical model of micro power sources were made, to be prepared for the follow-up studies. Then, the basic artificial fish algorithm was made improvements in many aspects, and combined with the chaotic search algorithm which holds the ability of strong local search. So a hybrid optimization algorithm having both global and local search ability was formed, and the corresponding simulation was proved, laying the foundation for the corresponding optimal alloction theory of microgrid. In order to study the different optimal allocations of microgrid, Multiple child object functions of microgrid such as the economy, environmental protection, the network loss and so on were integrated into the objective function for comprehensive benefits, considering various constraints. The following three different optimal allocation modes of microgrid were solved by the proposed hybrid optimization algorithm and the interactive multiple objects decision model, including 1) Under the off-grid mode, the independent allocation of micro power sources with the goal of their benefit maximization; 2) Comprehensive coordinated optimal allocation of each micro power source under the off-grid mode; 3) Optimal allocation of micrgrid under the grid-connected model. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm was verified. And it showed that through coordinating optimal allocation of micro power sources, better comprehensive benefits of the modes 2) and 3) could be obtainedFinally, based on extension of thinking for optimal allocation modes of microgrid under off-grid and grid-connected operation state, analysis of transformation conditions and situations between the two operation modes were discussed. Theory basis for the transformation of microgrid work model was provided. And it is conducive to solve the practical problems in application of microgrid in the future.
