Recent years, the growing demands for lead-acid battery. Lead acid batteries has highcost performance, large capacity, safe and reliable performance, rich raw materials and otheradvantages, make it more and more widely used. But unreasonable charging mode lead tolead-acid battery capacity decline and shorten its service life, lead-acid battery prematurelydiscarded, and waste the resources, also polluted the environment. The lead-acid battery in thetraditional charging mode has overcharge, overshoot, its efficiency is low, and service life isshort. So, it is very important to seek highly efficient, safe and reliable charging method, thisgreatly accelerated the people for intelligent charging in-depth research. Lead-acid batteriescharging in this paper is based on fuzzy-PID control, established the mathematical model ofbattery charging, and do the simulation on the Matlab simulation platform.This paper introduces the various traditional charging mode of lead-acid battery, and acomparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of various charging methods, andcapacity of lead-acid battery online SOC(State of Charge) test method made a brieflyintroduced, through the analysis of the SOC of summarizing the existing forecast method,presents a prediction model is easy to operation of SOC. Analysis of the optimum chargingcurrent curve, combined with fuzzy-PID control strategy, using battery charged port voltageto represent the complete process, adopts the two-dimensional fuzzy controller, the portvoltage deviation and deviation change rate as input of the controller, the output of three PIDcorrection parameters. Will join current storage inductor in the charging process physicalmodel, and established mathematical mode. Using Matlab/Simulink simulation platform to dothe simulation. Comparison and analysis of the charging effect in the PID control andfuzzy-PID control, also comparison of the charging effect fuzzy-PID control and traditionalcharging mode. The results show fuzzy-PID control charging can solve the traditionalcharging mode existed problem overcharge and overshoot, but also has good robustness.
