In this paper, stress factors outside the steel frame extended endplate connectionnodes for analysis, analysis of each component beams extended end plate connectionsgeometry change, the initial rotational stiffness of nodes, the ultimate moment andultimate corner affected. The objects are the steel beams under the framework of thetypical lateral loads connected unit.Using finite element analysis software ANSYS outer steel frame extended endplate connections for analysis, first create a base model as a comparison, then considerthe extended end when the end plate thickness plate connections, bolt diameter, boltrow spacing and beam when section height change, compared with the base model ofthe change in the initial rotational stiffness of the other nodes of the model, the ultimatemoment and ultimate corner.Draw relevant conclusions are as follows: When the end plate thickness≤16mm,increasing the ultimate moment capacity and rotational stiffness improved end platethickness of semi-rigid nodes more significant when the plate thickness is20mm, thethickness of the end plate to improve improve the semi-rigid nodes ultimate momentcapacity and rotational stiffness is less significant.Bolt diameter smaller amplitude increases to improve the semi-rigid nodes ultimatemoment capacity, rotational stiffness, extreme corner is not obvious; big margin onlyincreased, that increases from20mm to24mm, semi-rigid nodes ultimate momentcapacity, rotational stiffness, improve the ultimate corner is rather remarkable.Bolt spacing decreased from110mm to90mm, the semi-rigid joints A5ultimatemoment capacity increased by6%compared with the Base, rotational stiffnessimproved by11%,11%limit of the corner; When the bolt is increased from110to130mm in diameter, the semi-rigid nodes A6ultimate moment capacity reduced by6%compared with the Base, rotational stiffness reduced by14%,19%lower limit of thecorner; reduce bolt spacing improved semi-rigid nodes to improve the rotationalstiffness and ultimate corner obvious.Although increasing the height of the beam cross-section semi-rigid joints cangreatly improve the rotational stiffness and ultimate moment capacity, but reduces theductility of nodes, so the actual project and not blindly increase the high beam section to increase the limit of curved semi-rigid nodes moment capacity and rotationalstiffness, ductility node should take into account.
