Research For The Waterfront Landscape Planning Project Of Zhengzhou Xiliu Lake

With the development of social economy and city construction in China, the levelpeople’s material life and demand for spiritual culture are growing. Relying on its dualattributes of natural and artificial, urban waterfront landscape, who satisfies people’s for thedesire for enjoying the scenery and being close to the water without hiking, has become themost dynamic place in the city. The project of urban waterfront landscape is not only thereflection of people’s reality needs, but also an important factor of building "city quality".Therefore, the research of urban waterfront landscape planning project is very necessary.Urban waterfront as a part of the most abundant biodiversity, also showing its ecologicalsensitivity, threats to the sustainable development of ecosystem.The construction of waterfront in many city is lacking in innovation and features. Itdoesn’t present the unique regional features, even cause the destruction of waterfront whichhas the most various creatures. Based on the reseach concept of the application of ecologicalprotection in urban waterfront landscape planning project, this paper focus on the discussionabout the theoretical basis, realistic demand and forms of.sustainable development ofecological environment in the urban waterfront landscape planning project. By combingmodern urban waterfront landscape planning theory, this paper will study the waterfrontlandscape of ZhengZhou Xiliu Lake on the premise of urban natural environment protectionand historical context, and reach the following conclusions:（1） Blend "ecological" concept in the whole waterfront project and detail designthrough the Xiliu Lake landscape planning, and conform to our policy of "sustainabledevelopment".（2）Start from the whole city planning with the emphasis on entegrity andsystematicness of space structure, pay attention to the connection of surrounding bulidings,and form the distribution of " two areas, three cores, one band” to establish rational urbanwaterfront environment and form an interconnected open system. （3）.Create "land" waters-revetment-landscape” system which reflects environmentalprotection on the premise of people-oriented and combination of urban historical context andregional cultural features. Impress the ecological protection concept on people and promotethe comprehensive development of three efficency of environment, economy and culture.（4）Road is the vessel of urban waterfront. Put the layout pattern of "one circle,onelongitude and five bands" forward according to the road system of Xiliu Lake waterfrontlandscape, to provide convenience of water activities for people.Based on the ecology point, this paper put forward a design of urban waterfrontlandscape, which focuses on blending ecological protection concept into urban waterfrontlandscapeproject. We try to arouse people’s consciousness of environmental protection, inorder to provide theoretical basis for the same kind of urban waterfront landscape planningproject and embody the application of "sustainable development" strategy in practice.
