Preliminary Study On The Landscape Ecology Of Urban Waterfront

Revival of urban waterfront is becoming the cosmopolitan direction today. This article discussed about the landscape and ecology of urban waterfront synthetically based on summing up the experience in fremdness and China, then investigated the history, actuality and some programmings of urban waterfront in the central city of Nanjing detailedly.The first chapter concluded the conception and the geneal situation of the urban waterfront. In the second, landscape esthetics and ecology were summarized. The third chapter investigated the history and actuality of the water system and urban waterfront in Nanjing. Then disscused the optimizing means using the landscape esthetics and ecology from three ways of water area, land and the mixed regions of water and land. In the last chapter, conceived some perspectives of the landscape ecology of Nanjing waterfront.
