ABSTRACT:Parking lot detector is one of the key devices for underground parking detection system, plays a very important role in monitoring and operating the parking lot efficiently. This paper makes use of the principle of ultrasonic ranging sensor and the single-chip microcomputer to develop a parking lot detector for underground parking lots.This article analyses and compares several commonly used detection techniques; determines the parking lot detector scheme which is developed with ultrasonic sensor. After analysing the performance of ultrasonic sensor and the function of the underground parking lot detector, a ultrasonic detector used for underground parking lot is presented in this article; The detector, which includes parking spaces display module, detection module, power supply module and communication module, applies ultrasonic ranging principle, and uses MCU as the main chip, finishes the design of hardware; The article also design the ranging algorithm and the MCU program, completes the software design of the ultrasonic detector for underground parking lot.At last, the article simulates the principle of the ultrasonic detector for underground parking lot, develops the prototype of the ultrasonic detector, analyses the test data after experimental testing.
