Xiao River belongs to the Yellow River, is the second largest tributary of the Fen River, located in the western foot of the Taihang Mountains, the eastern Shanxi plateau, originated in Xiyang County Zhanshang countryside Madao mountain, which flows Xiyang, Shouyang, Heshun, Taigu, Yuci, Xiaodian, Qingxu, in Taiyuan, watershed total length is147km, with an average gradient of the riverbed is2.85‰, watershed area is3894square kilometers.From the eighty and ninety’s in the20th century to the early21st century. Although the water resources quantity of Xiao river basin is limited, it support the basin area social economy sustained and rapid growth.
