After "The world climate conference in Copenhagen", China sets its own carbon emission standards positively,"Low-carbon" has became the theme which China promote actively, green energy will continue to play a significant role in promoting.With the growing number of high-rise residential buildings,serious energy problems have already been visible, the load of hot water takes10%~20%per cent of total building energy consumption.With the increasing tension of traditional energy resources such as oil coal, the exploitation and utilization of it has been put on the agenda as solar source is almost inexhaustible. Solar thermal project’s scope expanded gradually,and a range of solar thermal products have been developed.Many architectural surfaces light enough, they can provide places for solar heating, energy consumption of the building itself can be greatly reduced in this way.Using solar hot water has been the trend, however, in the actual application process, there are a lot of problems in the harmony of architectural design and solar energy equipment,these problems are also apparent in the mechanisms for property management.The paper first presented the need for building integrated of solar energy from a design perspective, and then researched the insulation performance of flat plate solar collectors when it was used as roof insulation materials as well as direct load bearing capacity of the roof surface.Authors experimentally tested the insulation performance of flat collectors,experiments measured mean and maximum values of the heat transfer coefficient and their value was respectively4.721W/(m2·K) and18.354W/(m2·K), they can not meet energy efficiency requirements.According to Zhejiang province’s design standard for energy efficiency of residential buildings(DB33/1015-2003), the limit values of roof heat transfer is0.8W/(m2·K),author used the coefficient to calculate the increased XPS insulating layer, the average value and max value of increased roof thickness was respectively23.5mm and28.1mmo In terms of board bearing, author calculated the value load properly with the load combination according to specification for structural loads,the value of load properly was0.994kN/m2,the result of load test and ABAQUS prove that board’s bearing capacity all meet the application requirements.Flat plate solar collectors can be used for roofing safety.
