In recent years, outage events occurred frequently at home and abroad, such as Indiablackout event in July2012, June5,2013, Shanghai fault outage and promised tosouthern ice disaster in2008, these blackouts are the destruction of the system of thedistribution network is bigger, to the local economic development and people life lossand inconvenience. According to statistics,80%of the power grid failure is caused by apower failure, therefore, to ensure the safety of power system, reliable, economicoperation is very important, this paper studies urban distribution network fault outagerisk is of great practical significance.The first part, paper introduces the background of our country’s distributionnetwork risk assessment and research significance. Through understand the theory of riskassessment in power distribution network system, the related theory of risk evaluation forpower distribution network fault power definition and the content of risk assessment areintroduced. At the same time also on the relationship between the risk assessment andreliability assessment of the distribution network to explain.The second part, the definition of distribution network fault outage risk andinfluence factors were analyzed. According to the internal cause of the failure poweroutages, from two aspects of failure outage probability and failure outage lossdistribution network fault outage risk assessment index system is established. Finallyaccording to the established fault outage risk assessment index system and the definitionof the risk distribution network fault outage risk assessment model is established.The third part, first of all, based on binary component failure rate model of weatherconditions, secondly, based on feeder partition thought of distribution network faultoutage probability estimation method, based on the block failure rate calculation faultoutage probability of each load point. Again, the establishment of the outage lossestimation model based on block technology, in view of the power outage duration ofdifferent block user power loss is calculated respectively.The fourth part, the distribution network power failure risk assessment, subsystem tofeeder IEEE-RBTS bus2in distribution systems F1, F2as the research object to evaluatethe example analysis of failure risk. According to the various load point fault outageprobability and power loss of power failure risk classification analysis.
