Study Of Structure And Morphology Evolution And Its Philosophy Mechanism Of Shangqiu Ancient City

Shangqiu ancient city，a historical and cultural city located in theflood area of the Yellow River，has high historical value and scientific value which isdue to its long history, unique space pattern and the integrity of the internalmorphology.Shangqiu ancient city is selected as the research object in this paper. It researchesfrom the perspective of the city’s history and geography by the historical geographyresearch methods. And with history as "Longitude" and philosophy as "Latitude", itanalyzes the history and morphology evolution of the ancient city. The main work ofthis paper is as follows:It describes the morphology evolution history of Shangqiu ancient city bydividing it into five periods, and with multi-angle analysis of the causes of the site ofthe ancient city, points out that the site of the ancient city is considered to the politicaland military needs, the ability to resist the Yellow River, the economic developmentneeds and the feasibility of construction of the city. By analysis of natural and humanfactors which impact the evolution of the ancient city, combined with Confucianism,Taoism philosophy, it describes the philosophical mechanism of structure andmorphology evolution. And with the research of the existing Ming and Qing GuideCity, it analyzes morphological characteristics, flat shape, spatial pattern and so on,explores the protection and development of the ancient city, points out the problemsand solutions, to provide a theoretical reference and practical guidance for thesustainable development of Shangqiu ancient city.
